Ads for cheap radio stations are becoming a big trend, with some claiming they’re cheaper than other ads.
It’s been reported that advertisers in Australia are using the ad network Adsense to promote their wares.
However, they may not always be as cheap as advertised.
News.au spoke to one advertising expert who said the cost of advertising on Adsense was “unacceptably high”.
“I think people are getting a bit desperate, I think they’re getting the message across that it’s a bit of a scam,” he said.
“I think they’ve done a bit too much advertising for that, they’re trying to sell something to the gullible, and then you get some of these guys who are trying to scam you.”
The ad network, which advertises its own services, has previously said it doesn’t sell radio ads.
“Adsense has been a huge success for us, and we’re very happy with the performance of Adsense in Australia,” the network’s director of communications told news.com, “Our goal is to promote ad quality as high as possible and Adsense does just that, it offers an extremely high level of ad quality across all platforms.”
Ads for cheap ads may not be as affordable as advertised in Australia.
News and content reporter Jason Leong says the ad industry has been hit hard by rising internet costs.
“It’s a very challenging time for advertising in Australia, particularly for small businesses,” he told newscom.
“But what’s happening is that the cost has gone way up.””
We have a lot of advertisers that are making the decision to run more expensive advertising, because the costs of advertising are going way up.” “

The average cost of running an ad for a small business online is $2,000 per ad, he said, “and that’s with ads being targeted to specific audiences.
“They’re not doing that with their ads for small business.”
A lot more of the ad revenue generated by online advertising is going to the biggest players, not the smaller ones, Jason Lein said.
Advertiser groups have been quick to dismiss claims that they are being gouged by ad networks.
“These advertising campaigns are not going to get the support that they need, and that’s what the industry needs to focus on,” one major ad agency told newsnet.com on Thursday.
“We’ve seen the impact on our ad revenue and on our clients’ bottom line and our clients have got a real concern about that.”
